About Us

Tong Thai Street Food is named after my grandmother. Her full name is “Tong Bai”. She raised me from my birth. She is from the middle of Thailand, Bang Pee district, Samutprakarn Province. She was the first person to teach me how to cook Thai food. The idea to start a Mobile food business came from the many compliments on my food from co-workers in Thailand and the U.S. as well as friends, monks, and family in Minnesota. I not only learned how to cook Thai food from my grandmother and my mother, I also learned how to cook standard Thai food at Din-Deang cooking school in Bangkok. My special dishes are Pad Thai (Shrimp/Tofu), Crispy Spring Rolls, Tom Yum Shrimp, and Todmon Corn, and Chicken Satay.

We would like to share Thai culture by cooking authentic Thai food for the community. I see an opportunity for Tong Thai Street Food to grow because my co-workers, friends, and family always request Thai food for family gatherings and always ask for recommendations for a good, authentic Thai food.

My style of cooking mixes standard Thai cooking from Din-Daeng cooking school in Bangkok and the experience that I gained from assisting both my mother and grandmother in a traditional Thai kitchen since I was a little kid.
